St. Ann's Episcopal Church Prayer Garden

This community church wanted a prayer garden between the church and the rectory including a space for burials.

The careful design resulted in a dramatic connection between the stone church and the rectory. A columbarium wall achieved a vertical space to hold cremains while keeping the standing trees and maintainng open space.. Walkways and terrace areas were integrated on site to allow maximum water views.

Hardscaping materials resemble eroded walls of an old building to maintain the historic feel of the buildings and space. Stone columns on site were reused as part of the new garden design.
